Admission Requirements
Individuals applying for this course are required to:
- be at least 17 years of age
- present proof of secondary education (high school diploma or GED certificate)
- in the event the applicant is unable to provide proof of secondary education, a minimum grade of 200 on the verbal portion and a 210 on the quantitive portion of the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test or a score of 69 or higher on a skills profiler test are required
- prior to enrollment in the Dental Career Center of Stephenville, it will be the students personal responsibility to present written proof from a physician that they have either (1) completed the Hepatitis B vaccination series or (2) have begun the Hepatitis B vaccination or (3) have been antibody tested and shown to be immune to the Hepatitis B virus. The Dental Career Center of Stephenville cannot accept a student into the program who has not shown written evidence of this requirement
- Sign a HIPAA release form for the dental office they are taking the course in during their internship hours
- Any students with previous education and training will not be accorded any credit or fee/price adjustments toward this program but placement in externships willvary for those with more experience and/or subject hours in a particular area
